wet dreams…

The Northeast is suffering under one of the worst snow-falling winters of all time. With just over a month into the winter season, we’ve reached slightly more than half of the total accumulation for the entire 1995/96 season (according to people who track this sort of thing).

I ventured out into the latest storm blanketing New York City (#7), racing to make the cab that waited to take us to an appointment in the city. He was serious when he warned us that he would leave without me if we didn’t get in the car in the next 90 seconds. Since I live in the city of hills – Yonkers, New York – this was the last place he wanted to be stuck as the sudden storm began an unexpected dumping of a foot of the heavy, wet, white stuff.

We carefully made it into Manhattan, and as we passed through the the city streets, I came across the too often recently seen images of New Yorkers going about the business of getting around as best as they could under the circumstances…

However, I could not help but wonder if this one individual was making some urgent plans to leave the vicinity and the cold weather…

Ahhh, what stuff dreams are made of…

Until next time!
